約伯記-Job 第 40 章

40:1	耶和華又回答約伯說， And Jehovah answered Job and said,
40:2	責難的人，豈可與全能者爭論？與神辯駁的，可以回答這些罷。 Shall one who finds fault contend with the Almighty? Let him who argues with God answer it.
40:3	於是約伯回答耶和華說， Then Job answered Jehovah and said,
40:4	看哪，我是卑賤的，可用什麼回答你呢？我只好用手捂口。 Indeed, I am worthless. What shall I reply to You? I lay my hand over my mouth.
40:5	我說了一次，再不回答；說了兩次，就不再說。 I have spoken once, and I will not answer; And twice, and I will proceed no further.
40:6	於是耶和華從旋風中回答約伯，說， And Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind and said,
40:7	你要如勇士束腰；我問你，你可以指示我。 Gird up now your loins like a mighty man; For I will ask of you, and you shall inform Me.
40:8	你豈真要廢棄我所審斷的？豈可定我有罪，好顯自己為義麼？ Will you indeed annul my judgment? Will you condemn Me so that you may be justified?
40:9	你有神那樣的膀臂麼？你能以祂那樣的聲音打雷麼？ Or do you have an arm like God's, And can you thunder with a voice like His?
40:10	你當以威榮尊高為妝飾，以尊榮威嚴為衣服； Deck yourself now with majesty and excellency, And array yourself with honor and splendor.
40:11	倒出你滿溢的怒氣，觀看一切驕傲的人，使他們降卑； Pour forth the overflowings of your anger, And look upon everyone who is proud, and abase him.
40:12	觀看一切驕傲的人，將他們制伏；把惡人踐踏在他們所立之處； Look upon everyone who is proud; bring him down; And tread down the wicked where they stand.
40:13	將他們一同隱藏在塵土中，把他們的臉纏裹在隱密處。 Hide them in the dust together; Bind their faces in the hidden place.
40:14	這樣，我也就稱讚你，因你的右手能救自己。 Then even I will praise you, That your own right hand can save you.
40:15	你且觀看河馬，我造你也造它；它吃草與牛一樣。 Behold now the behemoth, which I made as well as you: He eats grass like the ox.
40:16	看哪，它的力量在腰間，能力在肚腹的肌肉上。 Behold now, his strength is in his loins, And his power is in the muscles of his belly.
40:17	它搖動尾巴如香柏樹；它大腿的筋互相聯結。 He bends his tail like a cedar; The sinews of his thighs knit together.
40:18	它的骨頭好像銅管；它的肢體彷彿鐵棍。 His bones are like bronze tubes; His limbs, like iron bars.
40:19	它在神的造物中為首；惟有造它的能拿刀劍靠近它。 He is the first of God's ways; Only his Maker can approach him with His sword.
40:20	諸山給它出產食物，田野百獸也在那裡遊玩。 For the mountains yield food for him, Where every animal of the field plays.
40:21	它伏在蓮葉之下，臥在蘆葦隱密處和沼澤裡。 Under the lotus plants he lies down, In the covert of the reed and the marsh.
40:22	蓮葉的陰影遮蔽它，溪旁的柳樹環繞它。 The lotus plants cover him with their shade; The willows of the brook surround him.
40:23	看哪，河水氾濫，它不戰抖；就是約但河的水沖到它口邊，它也是安然。 Indeed, if a river overflows, he does not tremble; He is confident, though the Jordan rushes against his mouth.
40:24	在它警覺的時候，誰能捉拿它，或用鉤子穿它的鼻子呢？ Will anyone catch him while he is watching, Or pierce his nose with a snare?
