| 3:1 | 那時，施浸者約翰出來，在猶太的曠野傳道說， Now in those days John the Baptist appeared, preaching in the wilderness of Judea |
| 3:2 | 你們要悔改，因為諸天的國已經臨近了。 And saying, Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near. |
| 3:3 | 這人就是那藉著申言者以賽亞所說的，說，「在曠野有人聲喊著：預備主的道路，修直祂的途徑。」 For this is he who was spoken of through Isaiah the prophet, saying, "A voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight His paths.'' |
| 3:4 | 約翰身穿駱駝毛的衣服，腰束皮帶，吃的是蝗蟲野蜜。 Now this John had his garment of camel's hair and a leather girdle around his loins, and his food was locusts and wild honey. |
| 3:5 | 那時，耶路撒冷和猶太全地，並約但河四周全境的人，都絡繹的出去到約翰那裡， At that time Jerusalem and all Judea and all the surrounding region of the Jordan went out to him, |
| 3:6 | 承認著他們的罪，在約但河裡受他的浸。 And they were baptized by him in the Jordan River as they confessed their sins. |
| 3:7 | 約翰看見許多法利賽人和撒都該人，來受他的浸，就對他們說，毒蛇之種，誰指示你們逃避要來的忿怒？ But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, Offspring of vipers, who prompted you to flee from the coming wrath? |
| 3:8 | 你們要結出果子，與悔改相稱。 Produce then fruit worthy of your repentance. |
| 3:9 | 不要自己心裡想著說，我們有亞伯拉罕作我們的祖宗。我告訴你們，神能從這些石頭中給亞伯拉罕興起子孫來。 And do not presume to say within yourselves, We have Abraham as our father; for I tell you that God is able, out of these stones, to raise up children to Abraham. |
| 3:10 | 現在斧頭已經放在樹根上，凡不結好果子的樹，就砍下來，丟在火裡。 And already the axe is laid at the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not produce good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire. |
| 3:11 | 我是將你們浸在水裡，叫你們悔改；但那在我以後來的，能力比我更大，我就是給祂提鞋也不配，祂要將你們浸在聖靈與火裡。 I baptize you in water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is stronger than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He Himself will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire, |
| 3:12 | 祂手裡拿著揚場的簸箕，要揚淨祂的禾場，把祂的麥子收在倉裡，把糠秕用不滅的火燒盡了。 Whose winnowing fan is in His hand. And He will thoroughly cleanse His threshing floor and will gather His wheat into His barn, but the chaff He will burn up with unquenchable fire. |
| 3:13 | 當下，耶穌從加利利出來，到約但河約翰那裡，要受他的浸。 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John to be baptized by him. |
| 3:14 | 約翰想要攔住祂，說，我當受你的浸，你反到我這裡來麼？ But John tried to prevent Him, saying, It is I who have need of being baptized by You, and You come to me? |
| 3:15 | 耶穌回答說，你暫且容許我吧，因為我們理當這樣盡全般的義。於是約翰容許了祂。 But Jesus answered and said to him, Permit it for now, for it is fitting for us in this way to fulfill all righteousness. Then he permitted Him. |
| 3:16 | 耶穌受了浸，隨即從水裡上來，看哪，諸天向祂開了，祂就看見神的靈，彷彿鴿子降下，落在祂身上。 And having been baptized, Jesus went up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming upon Him. |
| 3:17 | 看哪，又有聲音從諸天之上出來，說，這是我的愛子，我所喜悅的。 And behold, a voice out of the heavens, saying, This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I have found My delight. |
