以斯拉記-Ezra 第 3 章

3:1	到了七月，以色列人住在各城；那時他們如同一人，聚集在耶路撒冷。 And when the seventh month came, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered together as one man to Jerusalem.
3:2	約薩達的兒子耶書亞和他的弟兄眾祭司，並撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯與他的弟兄，都起來建造以色列神的壇，要照神人摩西律法書上所寫的，在壇上獻燔祭。 Then Jeshua the son of Jozadak rose up, along with his brothers the priests and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and his brothers, and they built the altar of the God of Israel to offer burnt offerings upon it, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.
3:3	他們因懼怕鄰近諸地的民，就在原有的基礎上立壇，又在其上向耶和華獻燔祭，就是早晚的燔祭。 And they set up the altar upon its bases, for fear was upon them because of the peoples of the lands; and they offered burnt offerings on it to Jehovah, burnt offerings of the morning and evening.
3:4	他們又照律法書上所寫的守住棚節，日日按數照例獻上每日所當獻的燔祭； And they held the Feast of Tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number according to the ordinance as the duty of every day required;
3:5	其後獻常獻的燔祭，並在月朔與耶和華所定一切分別為聖的節期獻祭，又向耶和華獻各人的甘心祭。 And afterward they offered the continual burnt offering and the offerings of the new moons and of all the appointed feasts of Jehovah that were sanctified and of everyone who offered willingly a freewill offering to Jehovah.
3:6	從七月初一日起，他們就向耶和華獻燔祭； From the first day of the seventh month they began to offer up burnt offerings to Jehovah; however the foundation of the temple of Jehovah had not yet been laid.
3:7	但耶和華殿的根基尚未立定。他們又將銀子給石匠、木匠，把糧食、飲料、油給西頓人和推羅人，使他們將香柏樹從利巴嫩運到海裡，浮海運到約帕，是照波斯王古列所允准的。 They also gave money to the stone hewers and to the carpenters, and food and drink and oil to the Sidonians and to the Tyrians, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea at Joppa according to the authorization granted them by Cyrus the king of Persia.
3:8	眾人到了耶路撒冷神殿的地方，第二年二月，撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯，約薩達的兒子耶書亞，和他們其餘的弟兄，就是祭司和利未人，並一切被擄歸回耶路撒冷的人，都開工建造；他們派利未人，從二十歲以上的，督理建造耶和華殿的工作。 Now in the second year after they came to the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak and the rest of their brothers, the priests and the Levites, and all those who came out of captivity to Jerusalem began by appointing the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to have oversight over the work of the house of Jehovah.
3:9	於是猶大的子孫，就是耶書亞和他的子孫與弟兄，甲篾和他的子孫，另有利未人希拿達的子孫與弟兄，都起來如同一人，督理在神殿作工的人。 Then Jeshua stood with his sons and his brothers, as one man, with Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, and with the sons of Henadad and their sons and their brothers the Levites, to have oversight over the workmen in the house of God.
3:10	匠人立耶和華殿根基的時候，百姓首領所派的祭司穿著禮服吹號，亞薩的子孫利未人敲鈸，照以色列王大衛所指定的，都站著讚美耶和華。 And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of Jehovah, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise Jehovah according to the directions of David the king of Israel.
3:11	他們彼此唱和，讚美稱謝耶和華說，祂本為善，祂向以色列人永施慈愛。他們讚美耶和華的時候，眾民大聲呼喊，因耶和華殿的根基立定了。 And they sang to one another in praising and giving thanks to Jehovah, saying, For He is good, for His lovingkindness is forever upon Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised Jehovah, because the foundation of the house of Jehovah was laid.
3:12	然而有許多祭司、利未人、宗族的首領，就是見過先前的殿的老年人，現在親眼看見立這殿的根基，便大聲哭號；也有許多人大聲歡呼， But many of the priests and Levites and heads of fathers' houses, the old men who had seen the first house, wept with a loud voice when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes; and many shouted aloud for joy,
3:13	甚至百姓不能分辨歡呼的聲音和哭號的聲音；因為眾人大聲呼喊，聲音遠處都可聽到。 So that the people could not discern the sound of the shout of joy from the sound of the weeping of the people; for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the sound was heard far away.
