| 1:1 | 保羅、西拉和提摩太，寫信給在神我們的父並主耶穌基督裡，帖撒羅尼迦人的召會： Paul and Silvanus and Timothy to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: |
| 1:2 | 願恩典與平安，從神我們的父，並主耶穌基督歸與你們。 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 1:3 | 弟兄們，我們應當常為你們感謝神，這本是合宜的；因你們的信心格外增長，你們眾人每一位彼此相愛的心也一直增加， We ought to thank God always concerning you, brothers, even as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly and the love of each one of you all to one another is increasing, |
| 1:4 | 以致我們在神的眾召會中，親自以你們為誇口，因為你們在所忍受的一切逼迫與患難中，仍有忍耐和信心； So that we ourselves boast in you among the churches of God concerning your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and the afflictions which you bear, |
| 1:5 | 這正是神公義審判的明證，叫你們可算配得神的國，你們的確是為這國受苦； A plain indication of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be accounted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which also you suffer; |
| 1:6 | 因為在神這是公義的，就是在主耶穌從天上，同祂有能力的天使，在火焰中顯現，要報應那不認識神，和那不順從我們主耶穌基督福音之人的時候， Since it is just with God to repay with affliction those afflicting you, |
| 1:7 | 將患難報應那加患難給你們的人， And to you who are being afflicted, rest with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of His power, in flaming fire, |
| 1:8 | 又使你們這受患難的人，與我們同享安息； Rendering vengeance to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 1:9 | 在那日，當主來，在祂聖徒身上得榮耀，並在一切信的人身上顯為希奇的時候，（你們也在其中，因為你們信了我們對你們所作的見證，） They will pay the penalty of eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His strength |
| 1:10 | 那些不順從祂福音的人要受刑罰，就是永遠沉淪，離開主的面，並離開祂力量的榮耀。 When He comes to be glorified in His saints and to be marveled at in all those who have believed (because our testimony to you was believed) in that day. |
| 1:11 | 因此，我們也常為你們禱告，願我們的神算你們配得過所蒙的召，又用大能成就你們所喜悅的一切良善，和信心的工作， For which also we pray always concerning you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling and may fulfill in power your every good intention for goodness and your work of faith, |
| 1:12 | 照著我們的神並主耶穌基督的恩，使我們主耶穌的名在你們身上得榮耀，你們也在祂裡面得榮耀。 So that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. |
